RESPONSIBILITIES:

To continually managing relationships with our customers from client outreach through to the conceptual to final design and construction of their project. Provide the necessary administrative support for all departments. In your role you will collaborate with clients to develop design ideas for their project, calculate budgets and price estimates, as well as select finishes. Preparing sales contracts, purchase orders and collecting deposits. This position will be responsible for consulting and following up with customers with design studio options and upgrade purchase process. Follow-up with customers, purchasing, and project managers regarding selections.

EDUCATIONAL AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Three (3) years, minimum, residential construction experience in Design
• High school diploma or GED required
• High degree of construction knowledge
• Resourcefulness, patience and clarity
• Strong management and motivational skills
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Familiar with, and ability to read blueprints, and other home diagrams
• Chief Architect, 20/20 or like software skills, are a plus
• Excellent writing skills verbal and written
• Detail oriented
• Strong sense of color and design applications
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
• Available to adjust work schedule to accommodate customers availability for evenings or weekends
• Valid driver’s license
• Accepts constructive feedback
• Team player.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This is an office and field position requiring driving. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry supplies and materials weighing 25 pounds or less.
• Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and telephone equipment.
• Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork and to receive/return phone messages.

Icon Building Group is looking for a motivated, organized, and relationship-driven Project Manager to join our growing team. This position may focus on either custom new construction or residential remodeling, depending on the candidate’s experience and strengths.

We’re looking for someone who understands construction — but just as importantly, someone who is dependable, eager to learn, communicates well, takes ownership, and enjoys working with homeowners, trades, and a close-knit team.

You do not necessarily need years of Project Manager experience to be successful in this role. We are willing to train and develop the right person who has a strong foundation in construction and the drive to learn.

What You’ll Do
As a Project Manager, you’ll help guide residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion while keeping projects organized, moving forward, and delivering the level of quality our clients expect from Icon.

Responsibilities may include:

• Manage custom home and/or remodeling projects from start through completion
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, designers, and internal team members
• Develop, manage, and communicate project schedules
• Visit active job sites regularly and monitor progress
• Help ensure work is completed correctly, safely, and according to plans and specifications
• Anticipate scheduling issues and help solve problems before they impact the project
• Review project plans, selections, scopes of work, and specifications
• Coordinate material orders and deliveries
• Maintain strong communication with homeowners throughout construction
• Track project updates, changes, selections, and outstanding items
• Work with trades to maintain quality standards and timelines
• Assist with budgeting, proposals, purchase orders, and change orders as needed
• Conduct project walkthroughs and help manage punch-list completion
• Maintain organized project documentation
• Work collaboratively with Icon’s design, estimating, sales, and construction teams

Experience
Residential construction experience is strongly preferred, but we are open to candidates from a variety of construction backgrounds.
